Why should anyone "be scared of" the character's gender?


I mean, from what I know of Dr. Who, it's pretty much anything goes. If they REALLY wan to get creative, they wouldn't even make the Doctor human. So they finally have a female Doctor. Good for them. It's about time and all that. That should be about the end of the discussion on the matter.
